Overview
Wren is designed to keep the programme itself on your device. The app does not require an account or show third-party advertising. It uses Mixpanel for product measurement, including allow-listed onboarding answers, subscription events, and which parts of the app you open. If you allow Apple's tracking request, it also uses Meta for advertising attribution. You can turn Mixpanel measurement off in the app and change tracking permission in iOS Settings. This policy explains what the Wren app and website handle, where information goes, and the choices available to you.
Your onboarding answers, programme progress, preferences, and session history are stored locally on your device. Wren does not send those answers to a Wren server. Mixpanel receives the allow-listed events described below unless you turn app measurement off.
Information handled by the app
Information stored on your device
The app may store the following information locally:
- Answers you provide during onboarding, including tinnitus, sleep, hearing, and attention-related answers.
- Your programme progress, completed sessions, preferences, and reminder settings.
- Locally calculated scores and summaries used to personalise the programme.
This information remains in the app's local storage unless you remove the app or clear its data using controls provided by your device.
Subscription information
Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Wren uses RevenueCat to initiate purchases, restore purchases, and confirm subscription status. RevenueCat may process an anonymous app user identifier, product identifiers, transaction and subscription status, device and app information, and technical information needed to provide those services.
Wren does not send your onboarding answers or programme history to RevenueCat. Apple and RevenueCat process purchase information under their own privacy policies: Apple privacy policy and RevenueCat privacy policy.
Anonymous product measurement
Wren uses Mixpanel to measure the onboarding funnel from the first screen to the paywall, allow-listed answers to important onboarding questions, the primary persona question, subscription events, which parts of the app you open, and whether a daily session was started or completed. A checkpoint contains an ordinal number and a neutral label for the broad onboarding section. Five broad milestones are retained for historical reporting, and a more granular funnel uses twelve checkpoints. Mixpanel also receives limited events describing interactions with the subscription screen, monthly or annual plan selection, purchase attempts and outcomes, and purchase restoration. Failure details use broad technical categories such as network, store, or configuration. Raw error messages are not sent.
Allow-listed onboarding answers use fixed keys such as age band, gender, onset band, sound type, hearing status, impact answers, goals, and the primary focus you chose (sleep, focus, calm, or connection). Mixpanel does not receive reminder choices, clock session times, the numeric impact score, lesson titles, day numbers, or anything you type in your own words.
Mixpanel may process a random SDK device identifier and standard device and app information needed to receive these events. IP-based geolocation, automatic event collection, user profiles, feature flags, and session replay are disabled.
Mixpanel processes these events under the Mixpanel privacy policy.
Advertising attribution
Wren asks for permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency system during onboarding. If you select Allow, the Meta SDK receives automatic app install, app launch, and eligible StoreKit subscription events. Meta may also receive the advertising identifier and standard device and app information to connect those events with advertising shown by Meta.
Wren does not send questionnaire answers, tinnitus or hearing responses, sleep or impact answers, lesson activity, reminder choices, raw errors, or anything you type to Meta. If you decline Apple's request, the Meta SDK remains disabled. Meta processes permitted events under the Meta privacy policy.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, Wren uses Apple's notification system for reminders you choose. Reminder preferences are stored on your device. You can change notification permission at any time in iOS Settings.
Information handled by this website
This website does not use cookies, advertising trackers, analytics scripts, or contact forms. The provider that hosts the website may receive standard technical logs, such as an IP address, browser type, requested page, and request time, for security and reliable delivery.
How information is used
Information handled by Wren is used to:
- Provide and personalise the 60-day programme on your device.
- Save progress and preferences between sessions.
- Process, verify, and restore subscriptions.
- Measure anonymous onboarding, allow-listed answers, feature use, and subscription-funnel completion.
- Attribute installs and subscriptions to advertising when Apple tracking permission is granted.
- Deliver reminders you have chosen.
- Maintain the security and reliability of the app and website.
Sharing and sale of information
Wren does not sell personal information or show third-party ads. The Mixpanel events described above are shared with Mixpanel unless you turn app measurement off. If Apple tracking permission is granted, the limited advertising events and identifiers described above are shared with Meta for attribution and advertising measurement. Purchase information is handled by Apple and RevenueCat as described above. Questionnaire answers, reminder choices, free-form text, and raw error messages are not shared with Meta. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or when necessary to protect users, the service, or the public.
Retention
Locally stored app information remains on your device until it is removed through the app, device settings, or deletion of the app. Apple, RevenueCat, Mixpanel, and Meta retain information according to their respective policies and legal obligations. Website hosting logs are retained according to the hosting provider's operational policy.
Your choices
- Change notification permissions in iOS Settings.
- Turn off app measurement from the subscription screen or the You tab. Turning it off stops future Mixpanel events from this device.
- Change Meta advertising tracking permission in iOS Settings.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID subscription settings.
- Restore purchases from within Wren.
- Remove locally stored information by deleting the app, subject to iOS backup behaviour.
Data deletion requests
Wren does not maintain user accounts or a Wren server profile. To stop future collection, turn off app measurement in the You tab, disable tracking in iOS Settings, and delete the app to remove locally stored information.
To request deletion of information processed for Wren by Mixpanel or Meta, email bohdan@fulminareholdings.com with the subject “Wren data deletion request.” Do not include medical information. Because Wren does not use accounts or names for analytics, we may need limited device or event information to determine whether a record can be associated with your request.
Children
Wren is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the service, contact Wren using the support channel on its App Store page.
Security
Wren uses reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the information it handles. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the app, website, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page will be revised when changes are published.
